I am incredibly lucky to work with some really interesting clients and I love to hear about their work. Film is of great interest to me. I have known David Thewlis for many years and in between his filming, I have cut his hair. The picture was taken at the BAFTA’S this year after I cut his hair, he is pictured standing with Olivia Colman. They both starred in the Sky Mini series Landscapers which was nominated in the best Mini series Category, David was shortlisted for Best Actor.
He rose to prominence in 1993 when starring in Mike Leigh’s Film Naked, for which he won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor.
Other notable film appearances include Seven Years in Tibet, The Big Lebowski, The boy in the Striped Pyjamas, War Horse, The Theory of Everything, Anomalisa and I’m Thinking of Ending Things. You may also know him for his role in the Harry Potter film series as Remus Lupin and Sir Patrick Morgan/Ares in Wonder Woman. He was nominated for an Emmy Award, Critics’ Choice Television Award and Golden Globe Award for his role in the TV series Fargo. He also wrote and directed the BAFTA-nominated short film Hello Hello Hello.
He has a second novel out which I am in the process of reading called Shooting Martha, he kindly signed the book for me and gave consent for me to use the image.
